Patchwork

This class is a two day class learning to sew patchwork for the starting of a quilt. You will get the option of 3 quilt top patterns to choose from. The weekday class starts at 10am and runs till 4pm both days and the weekend classes start at 9am and runs till 3pm. Cost is $230 with a non-refundable 50% deposit on booking. On the day there is a charge of $30 in cash for the pattern. Once your deposit is paid you will be given a list of requirements you will and to bring to the class.

 

Beginner Free Motion Quilting

This one day class teaches you free motion quilting. You will be doing sample pieces so you can start quilting your own quilts. The weekday class starts at 10am and runs till 4pm both days and the weekend classes start at 9am and runs till 3pm. Costs $115 to book into the class. Once your deposit is paid you will then receive a list of requirements of what you will need to bring.

 

Intermediate Free Motion Quilting

This one day class teaches you free motion quilting. You will be doing sample pieces so you can start quilting your own quilts. The weekday class starts at 10am and runs till 4pm both days and the weekend classes start at 9am and runs till 3pm. Costs $115 to book into the class. Once your deposit is paid you will then receive a list of requirements of what you will need to bring. 

 

Thread Painting

This is a two day class to make a beautiful art piece using small pieces of material and machine sewing to help make texture, shade and highlights to your project. In this class you will make a rhinoceros on canvas. The weekday class starts at 10am and runs till 4pm both days and the weekend classes start at 9am and runs till 3pm. Cost is $230 for the class with a 50% non-refundable deposit. Once your deposit is paid you will then receive a list of requirements of what you will need to bring. On the day you are required to pay $30 in cash for the pattern. 

 

Quilt as you go with Applique

 

Come and join in on our two-day Quilt as you go class. In this class you will complete some applique piecing and free motion quilting. Once your blocks and borders are completed, you’ll learn how to join them using a sashing method of QAYG. This is a great way to make a quilt especially if you struggle to get your full quilt under your machine. There is some pre-workshop work required and you’ll have some homework to complete after the classes. See the staff in the shop to book and get the list of requirements. Cost is $230 for the class with a 50% non-refundable deposit you will then be given a list of requirements for what will be needed to the class. On the day you are required to pay $30 in cash for the pattern.   

 

 

Quilt as you go with Applique ‘A Bed Of Roses’

Come and join in on our three day Quilt as you go class. In this class you will complete some applique piecing and free motion quilting. Once your blocks and borders are completed, you’ll learn how to join them using a new method of QAYG. This is a great way to make a quilt especially if you struggle to get your full quilt under your machine. There is some pre-workshop work required and you’ll have some homework to complete after the classes. See the staff in the shop to book and get the list of requirements. Cost is $345 for the class with a 50% non-refundable deposit you will then be given a list of requirements for what will be needed to the class. On the day you are required to pay $40 in cash for the pattern.   

 

Fabric Painting and Embellishing 

This one day class teaches you techniques of painting on fabric and embellishing over and around the painting. The classes run for a few hours. Costs $75 to book into the class. Once your deposit is paid you will then receive a list of requirements of what you will need to bring.

 

 

 

Beginner Crocheting

Our beginner class is learning to make a scarf. The classes run for 2.5 to 3 hours. Costs $75 to book into the class. you will then get a list of requirements for the class.

**Children from the age of 12 are welcome to pay and attend a class with a paying guardian.** 

 

 

Rope Bowl Making

Come along and learn how to make a circular rope bowl. It may look hard at first but you will find that after doing a couple of rounds, you have got the idea. Have fun while learning something new. See the staff in the shop to book and get the list of requirements. Costs $75 to book into the class. You will then be given a list of requirements for what will be needed to the class.  

 

Information Session

‘Tips, tools and techniques- a 2 hour session by Deb Layt‘. A guide to patchwork and sewing. To book in its a $50 booking per person so come learn new tricks of the trade. Come in and let the friendly staff know you would like to attend.

 

 

 

Gold Work with Alison Cole

This is a beginner’s class – Learn how to make a gorgeous goldwork bee which is Embroidered in English Goldwork threads on a Delustered satin background. This little fellow is sure to please.

Design Size: 5.5cm x 9.5cm.

This Class is a one day class teaching you how to embroider gold work. The class costs $150 which includes the kit. Full payment is required to book into the class. You will then receive a list of requirements.  

 

Stump Work with Alison Cole 

This is a beginners class -Learn to do Stumpwork embroidery by making this Rosy Christmas ornament.

It is a white Christmas Rose embroidered in silk and English metal threads using Stump work techniques on a printed cotton background.

Design size:  11cm x 7cm approximately.

This Class is a one day class teaching you how to embroider stump work. The class costs $150 which includes the kit. Full payment is required to book into the class. You will then receive a list of requirements.  

 

 

Needle Felting 

Come along and learn Basic Needle Felting.

This class runs for 2 hours with an Investment of $75. Payment in full is required when booking. This price includes class requirements. 

This class needs a minimum of 5 people to be able to proceed. 

 

English Paper Piecing with Applique

This is a 3 hour class where you can choose whether you’d like to make a Pincushion or an over the shoulder Phone bag. (Kit is supplied in cost.)

Class includes the hand sewing of English Paper Piecing pieces together along with appliqueing it onto background fabric. You then use your sewing machine to complete your kit.

Full payment of $75.00 is required upon booking when you will get your requirements list.

Minimum of 3 students for class to go ahead.
